To attain better control of your activities, first of all, it is helpful to get rid of the anxiety and fear we all feel when faced with the unknown. The same way there are several ways to Rome, there are several ways to get where you want to be, a step at a time, as long as you keep on moving. One step could be to seek outside support that will allow you to create the necessary pace and advance your career and personal life, instead of burying your head on the sand in a passive attitude until the situation goes away. Procrastination is a trap which truly could stunt the long-term purpose of your efforts. Second, delegate, but, to whom you may ask; are you the do-it-all? Has your support been laid off? There is a solution to everything except for not to die.
And that is the reason of my doing what I do. After working in different roles, as an Advertising Producer, Executive Assistant and Global Coordinator I experienced the waves of crisis and know well that when changes come, the greatest attitude is to explore how to take advantage of the timing in order to ride the wave with the tools I have available, instead of allowing myself to be tossed around, ending up with bigger problems. Denial or avoidance certainly is not the solution.
